Arrived back home last night from Ohio after a two week vacation with our parents....we had safe travels!
Our DD came out with us the first week, but had to fly back here after a week to go back to work.
Then our oldest DS flew from here out to Ohio to spend the last 5 days with us and then drove home to MD with us. It was wonderful to see all the kids got to visit with their grandparents.
We always enjoy catching up with our family. My dear SIL and three of her four kids traveled to see us before we left. We enjoyed listening to them about their recent vacation overseas to Europe. Seeing her kids was wonderful and to see how grown up they all are becoming. Wow, that means I am aging, too!?
My mom is doing well in the nursing home. I visited with her every day while I was there. She has made several friends and the staff seem to really like her. My mom has become involved in the activities there: Bingo, coffee chats, virtual bowling, exercise group, and even joined in learning some Hukialau moves for a Luau they are going to have in Sept. She was always a hermit at home but really seems to enjoy getting out of her room to participate.
Catching up on LOTS of emails, paperwork, laundry now...will post pictures soon!

Glad to hear you had such a great visit with family and that your mom is getting along so well, that is great that she is getting involved
