My Happenings: Crafting and Couponing

Last week, I finally got these Cricut die-cuts finished and mailed out for a swap I am in at YPP-Your Paper Pantry . We were suppose to make any 3"-4" food related die cuts(coffee and cups are food related right!?). Then we are going to get 5 different die-cuts back and we are suppose to make a cookbook/recipe journal with them. It will be fun to see what other images the other girls made.
* I used Cricut carts: Celebrations and From My Kitchen.

I also have been working on this scarf for oldest DS...he liked the one I made him last Christmas and requested a dark gray scarf. Should be finished by the end of the week.
I never learned how to knit well, but picked up these Nifty-Knitter looms from Micheals/Joanns
(with a coupon, of course!) and was able to pick up on the patterns to make scarves and hats so far.
My reading this week is a book about couponing called "Pick Out Anther Checkout Lane, Honey"
I heard about the show called Extreme Couponing(not that I want to be a extreme couponer!) and it peaked my interest.. AND since we don't have a TV, I have been watching these Crazy Coupon ladies on YouTube. They have some great tips and last week alone I saved 40% on our grocery bills and stuff.
Here was just a trip to Target and everything was on sale, except the coffee...these were things I needed in my pantry! The Barilla spag. sauce was on sale and I had a $1 off coupon...it was 60 cents!
Now I am NOT spending hours cutting out coupons, BUT I am being more serious in looking for the best deals and if a coupon matches it and helps us to save some money, that works for me!

Have a wonderful week!
