Scott took me for lunch at our fave restaurant
called Good and Plenty...its a family style rest.
where they sit you at a table for 10...with other
strangers, but they introduce you and then its like getting to know some new friends. They then bring out the food
*family style*, where you pass around the dishes to
share like a family!
We have been going to this
rest., off and on since our oldest was a youngster.
This time though, we got a table to ourselves.(we must have looked like we were on our honeymoon! LOL!)
Because it was during the week, it was a slow day.
It was a yummy meal(NOT a place to go if you are trying to lose weight)...our fave dessert, Shoo-fly pie...here is Scott after we ate it!
We drove through the Amish countryside
and even through a covered bridge:

So, we got to our motel and when we got to our room,
look what was waiting for us! A basket filled with orange and root beer soda, mints, muffins, cookies and pretzels with a note wishing us a Happy Anniversary! Whta a sweet surprise!
After that large lunch, we walked around Willow Valley to walk it off...it was so pretty outside. They have a lovely pond to walk around..complete with ducks and geese, a gazebo and a mini covered bridge to walk out onto a small pennisula. Here is Scott peeping out and me enjoying the gazebo!
The last time we stayed at Willow Valley we took a picture of the kids at this same tree(it was Thanksgiving time "05) and we saw this tree again and thought it would make for an interesting picture:
We had some fun time shopping around in the local shops:Kettle Village(they even had a live petting zoo...our kids would have loved that!)...sampled some Amish treats in Bird-in the Hand, stopped at an antique shop, and lunched at a Cracker Barrel before heading back home yesterday!
I was so happy we got a chance to get away and spend some time with my sweet husband...and I look forward to our next twenty five years!
