On Saturday, a dear friend posted some news about her DS who was assaulted and was hurt badly enough he had to have his jaw wired shut for 6 weeks. Scary, yes...we live in the same state and are within 45 min of where it happened. My prayers continue for that dear boy and his family.
Made me think of our DS who was sounds asleep upstairs after a Lock-In at our church for the young College and Career kids the night before. They played games mainly, but didn't get home till 4am. I wanted to go up and shake him awake and remind him to be EVER vigilant of his surroundings, ESPECIALLY at night. But instead I let him sleep and when he woke up and came downstairs...gave him a BIG hug and told him I loved him and to be sure whenever he is out to be always observant.
As my dear friend reminded me in her post..love them, and hug them!

How sad but true. You never stop worrying or caring no matter how old they get.
{{hau}} Thanks for the reminder.
This world isn't safe anymore! It's so sad! Glad to know that your friend's son is okay though. Thanks for the reminder - it's not just our kids that need to be vigilant!!
