Taxes...are done!

So happy...we got to see the TaxLady tonight to get our taxes done.
Getting to hear we are getting a refund back is always nice, too!
When you are getting a refund, our TaxLady always gives out a PayDay or 100,000 Grand candy bar...isn't that cute!

So, one thing on my list to spend some of that refund is NEW glasses...its been 3 years and I am ready for a new pair. My eyes are getting *old* fast. At night my eyes seem to tear-up alot and burn. I am far sighted in one eye and nearsighted in the other... I need them to drive and to do close-up work! My sweet DH laughs at me every time I look at him over my glasses! Since we are e-filing and the money comes faster this way, maybe I should make my eye doctors appt. now!

DS- Out of Darkness

On Saturday night, our DS played in two bands at our churches coffee house.
He is the bass player for both bands(Munich...pop/rock) and Out of Darkness(Christian Progressive Metal...he has been a member since 2005).

They did an awesome job...wore ear plugs for half the concert...till I figured out they weren't too loud!

Its Friday!!

I am soooo happy its Friday! Something about having no school tom'w. makes this teacher happy, happy, happy! Plus, its a long weekend with Presidents Day!

Whats on the agenda for this evening...crafting I hope! (Got some finishing up on a friend's baby page and get a few packages ready to mail out on Monday)

BUT, first when DH gets home we need to go get his van. We took it in last night to drop off for an oil change. Then the mechanic calls and says we need three little light blubs for the middle brake lights and TWO new back tires...all of this to a tune of $245.50. Well, I better stick with NO craft buying, for sure! I thinki I have enough in my craft room to keep me busy for a lonnngggg time! Ya think!?

DS focusing on school...

Oldest DS decided to quit his job... he gave his two-weeks notice and last night was his last night.
He did well to work there at UPS: hired last March, asked to become a supervisor in November, worked night shift(26 hrs a week) while attending college full time.(in which he made the dean's list 2 out of three semesters!)
He wants to focus on school...nights are hard...I worked them a few times in my nursing career and my body couldn't handle it...I don't know how he made it 11 months! UPS was good to him even tried to offer some incentives to stay, but he wants to do well in school. It was a hard decision, but he wants to get into computors and plans to look for a *computor* job come summer. He'll miss those B$G bucks, I am sure.

...so this is why I am behind and can't get any creating done. After a challenge at www.123-Scrap.com I am posting these pictures in hopes of encouraging me to clean and re-organize! I am starting with my 12 x 12 paper, since I got a new acrylic 12 x 12 paper holder from the LSS closing down a couple of weeks ago.

Another driver in the house and a sicky boy!

DD went to take her written test for her Learner's Permit yesterday and she passed on her first try! Now we have to get through 60 hours of driving time, drivers ed, it should be a breeze, hopefully! We have one driver taught under-our-belt, and he has had an awesome record so far!

Our oldest decided to take sick this past week...high fever times three days...missed work and school...poor guy. Seems better today though...no more fever since early yesterday.

Hope to get some crafting in this weekend...I am so behind!

Its February!

January is here and gone and I am thinking about organizational stuff...cleaning my craft room, cleaning out closets, paperwork that needs to be done, homeschooling shtuff!
I didn't get any crafting done last month and I enjoy going to my Happy Place and creating...its going to be a busy month as I get my life back to some kind of order

I am thinking of making a new blog, so I can separate my crafting from my family life??
What do you all have to say about that?
