July Happenings...
Well, seems to me I should be posting more here since I am not homeschooling during the summer months...but I am finding other things to occupy my free time.
Got all the school books for last year put away and all the new ones out...thats a chore when you are schooling three kids and you have ALL the teacher keys, test/quiz booklets and the student editions!
Found a new Scrapbook website... Scrap Attack Scrapbooking
This site has some wonderful ideas to help motivate your scrapbooking or cardmaking!
Lots of creative folks here!!
Been catching up in my craft room...got a LOs (scrapbook layout) done last week.

A Layout, Some Shark Teeth and a Star book!
Made my first LO for the almost summer! DH and I were at the Flag Ponds State Park Beach hunting for shark teeth when I glanced back and got this pic of him. He has quite a collection of teeth he has found over the years.

On this day, I found by first! Upper teeth are ray teeth.
Here is my first Star book! (made for a MoreThanScrapbooking online crop challenge)

BOM?
BOM...most scrapbookers know that this is the abbreviation for "Book of Me".
Any of you ever done one??? Do you continually add to it?
For a long time I have wanted to do one, but really didn't have the time raising up 4 young ones.
Now that they are older...I have been challenged at MoreThanScrapbooking to start a BOM.
Penny challenged us to try and complete a layout a week (using some prompts from her for each week) and at the end we would have 52 pages. Well that sounds like a lot of info about me...we will see! Anyway...working on my page and will post later this week.

Cozy Crop was a blast!
Five of the six of our group were able to meet up at Stampede...a rubber stamp shop in York, PA. (Laurie, Joanne, me, Peggy and Starr...Shari was heading in from NJ, unfortunately she couldn't meet us here)

Here we are at a local Amish Family style restaurant...not a low-cal meal, for sure!

A couple of projects...this first was a cool make 'n' take from Peggy (our Georgia Peach)...
she shipped up all the supplies to Starr , her sister, before she flew up to Delaware. She taught us how to make this using a pocket folder and some awesome CTMH stamps, papers and inks.
Thanks, Peggy!!

This was a scrapbook page that was waiting for me to complete from my first weekend crop I went to on the Eastern shore of MD. Finally finished-used my Cricut with Shari's 'Zoobaloo' cart and painted with my H2Os) Now to finish the journaling!

Looking forward to next years...Sept 10-13th, 2009!

Cozy Crop is almost here!
Been busy with getting the kids hither and yon the past few weeks...now its the momma's turn!
Tom'w morning I head up to Lancaster, PA to meet up with 5 other friends. We met online at a cardmaking website a few years ago and I arranged for us to get together at a house in Lancaster made just for crops. We met up last year and we are doing it again tom'w through Sunday!
Whats kinda cool is we are all coming from out-of-state!
Indiana, New Jersey, Delaware, Georgia and two from Maryland
I am so excited we are able to plan this and get together again! Look forward to seeing the girls again!
See you in a few days!

Recent LOs
Curriculum Fair was great! Saw alot...bought some things we needed! I finally got through most of all the catalogs I got....and now we need to finish up school and then I will decide on what else is needed. I got through some of my homeschool cabinet and pulled out some books we no longer can use...sold them on Vegsource for a nice chunk-of-change.
So, I finally got some time to put up a few LOs...first one is of our DD at her recent birthday at her grandparents...they always celebrate her birthday before we drive to home.

This one is from a sock exchange the Youth girls had this past Christmas....

Hopefully will have more time this weekend to scrap some more...
