Seth GOT his NEW place!

Seth was looking to rent a house instead of extending his lease on his current apartment, so he would be able to play music without disturbing the neighbors. He looked on Craig's List and found a rental near a beach. Seth lost the chance to rent the other place due to another renter who came in and signed the lease quicker. BUT this was the place he was meant to get! (found it on Craig's List, too!) Located just a few blocks away from the other house Seth was looking at!

The beach is about a 15 min walk from his new place! He is an hours drive from us, but I can live with that. I will miss him being close, but am excited he found a place!


Going to be a busy weekend while we help get stuff moved out of his apt, get the apt. cleaned and then getting his stuff moved to his new place. 


We also are still working on getting my mom's house sold. The realtor sent an email that we had two showings this week. Praying for a good offer!


Trust in the Lord for He has our ultimate good in mind!

Update

Its been a busy past week...

Trying to sell my mom's house in the worse economy. Its been on the market for almost a month and we got an offer. Though we countered it, the buyers didn't want to work with us so we lost that offer, we guess?? The realtor never told us for sure they said no. (Yes, we are having issues with the realtor, too) Its hard trying to sell a house this far away. Prayers needed to get her house sold soon.

The boys had their annual Youth Share Fair fundraiser last night. The youth or other church member auction off different things to the highest bidder. (For instance the boys offered help around the yard)
They raised over $1700 for the Youth trip this summer!
 The Youth are going to Durham,NC with a group called World Changers again this year, so the fund raising helps!

Today, I get to go for my permanent crown to be put on...not fun. I don't like to go to the dentist. I always have *white knuckles and a tense neck* when I come out of there.

Another prayer, DS wants to find a new place to rent(current place is too high)...he was beat out of one place he was looking at...so he is trying to find another.

Youngest is 15 today!

Today, our youngest turns 15! Nine more months and he can apply for his Learner's permit. Where has the time gone! Seems like just yesterday he was born.

We were there in Ohio to visit my mom and in-laws and Simon came along with me to help take care of a lot of stuff for my mom and he was able to help his Grandpa with some chores, as well.(see post below) He is such a blessing to our family.

Home again!

Arrived back home! I am so grateful to those who prayed for us while on this trip. God is good, ALL the time! Had a great trip out to Ohio to visit my mom and in-laws and got some things done for my mom while there. Thanks to my dear in-laws for taking care of DS and I all week!


First thing on my agenda was to go to see my mom on Weds. and attend her Care Plan Mtg. at the nursing home.
Mom looks good...gaining some weight...so she is eating well there. We went outside in the courtyard everyday I went to visit. The weather was perfect! Mom really enjoyed it and seeing the bunny, "Bugsy", who lives in the courtyard area.
My mom had a few issues with the nursing home staff, but hopefully in time things will get resolved. They treat her well, but there are a few that *clash* with my mom. Praying that they will learn to treat my mom with respect and my mom continues to adjust to her new place.
Its almost been a year she has been there and she is doing well. But I think will do better in Assisted Living and the staff agree. We are working on getting her into Assisted Living...she is on the waiting list.

Talked with the some one in the Medicaid office to get some questions answered...not the answer I was looking for...but they are working on it.

Went down to clean my mom's house...brother and family had picked up all the furniture and belongings of my mom. There were 8 bags of trash I collected and thanks to my FIL he came down to pick up and took to a trash place. Our youngest DS helped me to clean the house up a bit. Still needs a better cleaning, BUT we got it done the best we could in the time we had.

Saw a Realtor and had them look at the house and then signed papers to get it up for sale.
Contract is through Nov 2012. Praying it sells quickly!
It was hard thinking that the home I grew up in and my kids visited their grandma in was going to have to be sold. But it needs to be done...so we took a few photos...



Had a wonderful time with DS and I am so glad he agreed to come out with me. I don't know what I would have done without his help. Missed my DH(Happy Anniversary...29 years on 4/2!) and other kids, but it was a trip I needed to take. Looking forward to going back to Ohio in a few months...but it is great to be back home!
