Happy Birthday, Dad/Grandpa!

Today is Dad's birthday....remembering how much we love and miss being near them...we try and get home to visit when we can. Its never enough time, but we enjoy seeing Dad interact with his grandkids. He loves them so.

The last visit out it was just our youngest and I that drove out to get my mom's house put up for sale.

We stopped at mom and dad's house they rent out and I caught these two pics of Dad and Simon looking over the property.

We love you dad and are so proud to have you as a father/grandpa...thank-you for all the years of love and fatherly wisdom you have shared with us.

We look forward to many more years to come!

Bentley and his first vet visit

Our new kitty had to go to the vet last Saturday for his first check-up. Bentley LOVED the car ride over. He had to have a check-up before he was to be declawed. So, after two shots(rabies and distemper) and blood work...lets just say it took a bowl full of food and nap to get him settled down to his own self again!

So he was scheduled for the declawing this Weds. The vet just called and said he had some mild elevations in his blood work that had to do with his liver and he wants to have his blood retested in 5 weeks...so the declawing is off till we see what happens with the blood work.

Hoping it turns out to be nothing.

Mother's Day

Had a wonderful Mother's day.
