Wonderful three day weekend and photos

Hard to believe we are over halfway done with January.

Two of our four kids are down with colds...crazy weather. VERY cold at night, but has warmed up in the 40s during the day.

I was behind in a recipe swap at Cuppas and Cards...so I am caught up now...these where the recipes I made for December and January. Used DCWV papers and my Cricut cart. 'From My Kitchen' I cut out some embellishments.


My Dh went shark tooth hunting down off the Chesapeake Bay on Saturday morning...EARLY!
There were 6 guys ahead of him in line to get into the state park! Some were professionals...they were even wearing thigh high waders! DH and I were talking and he has been going down to this beach for over 10 years(2-3 time a year)
Here is the haul he brought home...two on the left are alligator teeth(parts of them)
and the two on the right are shark teeth...the last one is over 1-1/2 inches.



Then DH and I went to see "Blindside" at the local theater...GREAT movie!
Highly recommend it.
(Only one word at the end that was crass and could have been left out)

She is 18

Hard to believe just 18 short years ago we were blessed with the birth of our only daughter on this date. She has grown up so fast!
We had a wonderful weekend...went to see "The Young Victoria", excellent movie(my DSIL recommended it!), had lunch at a fave fast food, Panda Express on Saturday. Shopped is Sephoras for her first Bare Minerals kit. (her present from me)

Tonight, her dad took us all out to Red Robin, a fave gourmet burger place.
We had a great time, they sang Happy Birthday to her...served an ice cream sundae...and YES, I forgot my camera. We did try and use her camera on her phone, so we will see how those turned out.

We are home!

Back from Ohio. Its always good to be home, but I so wish we were closer to our parents. We enjoy visiting with them and always look forward to our next visit with them in the summer!

I am busy getting the house back in order, laundry, meal planning and taking care of two weeks worth of snail mail and emails.

Actually stayed up till midnight last night to ring in the New Year with hubby, kids and in-laws!

Sitting here this morning watching a gentle snow fall. Just waiting for others to wake. Home to MD in a few days...have so enjoyed our time visiting our family here in Ohio.
