Birthday cards...

I turned half a century old on the tenth this month and even though was
down with my back out...everyday snail mail came I had some lovely cards
made and sent from dear crafty friends...Thanks to all!

Our youngest turned 13!

Yep, 13 yrs ago I went into the hospital to have this dear boy...we had to have him early due to an elevated blood pressure on my part! Here he is celebrating at home with a yummy ice cream cake

My back

Sorry, I have been absent from my favorite message boards, Face book, friends and family emails....can't sit at the pc very long, or my back gets stiff.

I pulled my back out last week petting the cat!(POOR body mechanics I guess!)
Anyway, having back spasms in the mornings and usually by mid afternoon, the Motrin, ice and heat usually kick in and I can get a few things done(Thank goodness for our kids help!)

YES, it was my birthday on Saturday! Our kids made a wonderful dinner and dessert.
Received numerous cards from dear crafty friends and family(Big Hugs and thank-you!!)
and a few unexpected presents.

Anyhoo...I am still taking it slow and steady..trying to baby the back so it will heal. This is not my first back episode...I am use to the "what-I need-to-do"...so far down three pounds since the Friday. (happy, happy, joy, joy!!) The Lord is good...he is bringing me through this!

Our Anniversary...27 yrs ago...

Every year for the past three years, DH and I head up to Lancaster, PA to a resort called Willow Valley to celebrate our anniversary. I can't believe its been 27 yrs...seems like yesterday we were married! I love this man and look forward to the next 27 (or more) years together!
